Monjon specialises in services and strategies designed to avoid tragedy, but sometimes life is unpredictable. When the unexpected happens, our worlds are rocked and nothing will ever be the same again. In these difficult times, the support of our local community is invaluable.
Managing Director of Monjon, John Moncrieff, has close ties to many community organisations and events. As well as sponsoring sporting teams, medical foundations and donating to community groups, John wants to support individuals who are in need.
Josh Davis was camping by the River Corowa with the family of his friend, Patrick Cronin, who had lost his life back in 2016, when another tragedy struck. Severe damage to his back has left Josh paralysed from below his shoulders. Still in intensive care at the Austin, doctors don’t yet know what his road to recovery will look like.
Upon hearing about Josh’s accident and his ties to Patrick, John Moncrieff wanted to lend this local family the support of Monjon and its family. This is a community who has already suffered great loss when Patrick was killed while trying to break up a bar fight back in 2016. At a weekend retreat which should have been about celebrating Patrick’s life, yet more misfortune fell when Josh found himself in hospital.
While he is in the best place possible at the moment, Josh has a long road ahead of him. Monjon is proud to be supporting Josh and his loving family as they begin their journey forwards. John has made a generous donation which will help cover ongoing medical costs.
